Mark Richardson President/Director/Editor Mark is Lumina Film’s founder, principle director, producer and editor. He has directed, produced and/or edited over 200 commercial spots, corporate & educational videos and music videos. His long-form films, including documentary, corporate and educational films, have won dozens of awards and critical acclaim and have premiered on both HBO and Lifetime TV. Prior to founding Lumina, Mark was a producer at D’Arcy Advertising working with clients like Proctor & Gamble, Kraft Foods, & Citizen Watches. At NYU Mark received the honor of being chosen to work under the direct tutelage of Martin Scorcese. Mark’s own independent films, including his last feature “In the Eye of the Storm¯, have won numerous awards and theatrical distribution. But his first feature film - made while still a student at NYU - starred Joe Pantoliano (Sopranos), John Rhys Davies (Indiana Jones) and Tony Randall (Odd Couple) - never got released. It did, however, become a hilarious article for Premiere Magazine. Glen Mordeci Director/Cinematographer A native New Yorker, Director-DP Glen Mordeci has been one of the most dynamic and energetic minds in the commercial film industry for the past 18 years. With bases in NYC and LA, he has helmed a variety of commercials including spots for Panasonic, Canadian Club, Hot Jobs, Spike TV and ESPN. Glen believes the success of a project is not only the mastery of technical aspects, but also a broad and well-versed knowledge of the humanities. The use of visual references to develop the look and feel of a project are instinctual, with concrete examples drawn from art history as well as film history and imagery drawn from popular culture. His addition to Lumina Films in 2005, has pushed Lumina's work to new levels. Ryan Foregger Director/Producer/Editor Having worked in Film and commercial production in Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Milwaukee, Ryan brought his varied production experience to Lumina Films in 2005. Ryan plays a vital role as Head of Production at Lumina. His knowledge and experience in the production process, from concept to broadcast, is invaluable to Lumina Films and its clientele's production needs. Ryan is one of Lumina's talented directors and visual effects artists. His music video work for artists Tim Fite, Ben Kweller, My Brightest Diamond, and others, received two YouTube homepage features, and recognition by Good Morning America, as its YouTube Pick of the Week. In addition his work has been featured on MTV's Total Request Live, Pitchfork, AOL Spinner, Current TV, Country Music Television, Baeble Music, and Post Magazine. His directing projects have also included a season of "Backstage Pass" for ManiaTV! and numerous indie rock shows for Baeblemusic. A focused filmmaker from an early age, Daryl directed and executive produced the award-winning weekly television series Upwards Southwest while still in High School. That series earned Daryl a talent-based scholarship to the prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where he created several award-winning short films. After college, and in between feature films, Daryl has focused his talents on directing music videos. His work is seen internationally on networks including MTV, MTV Europe and Fuse. Kary Rho EFX Artist/Editor Originally from Seoul, Korea, where she taught in the theatre community, Kary Hyunjeong Rho relocated to the States in 2001 where she earned her B.F.A in motion pictures and television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. While in the Bay Area, she developed her editing and motion graphic skills as a freelance After Effects artist. Her clients included Hilton, Adelphia, and HP among others. In 2007 she brought her talents to the East Coast and after freelancing has settled in as the lead animator and motion graphic artist at Lumina Films. Her creative problem-solving, unique vision, and wealth of post-production knowledge continue to be a valuable asset to Lumina Films and their clients. Daniel Rutledge Animator/Editor Daniel Rutledge, a New England native, came to New York in 2001 and immersed himself in feature film production work. More recently his interests shifted to post-production and, while he has produced and directed several shorts of his own, he has focused on honing his skills as a picture editor. He joined Lumina Films in 2007, bringing his keen eye and instinctive timing to a variety of Lumina Films post production projects. |
